Gucci Mane Jail: Rapper Denied Bond After Hitting a U.S. Marine With Champagne Bottle at Atlanta Nightclub; Will Stay in Jail until April 10 (Video)

Rapper Gucci Mane made his first court appearance on Wednesday for charges of aggravated assault and aggravated battery in connection with an alleged attack at Harlem Nights Ultra Lounge night club in Atlanta, the Fulton County Sheriff's Office said, as reported on CNN. Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, was denied bond, authorities said, and he will remain in the Fulton County jail until April 10.

The performer turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday night after police issued a warrant for his arrest.

He allegedly attacked a fan -a U.S. Marine- who was trying to take a photo with him with him last Friday evening at the club. Gucci Mane reportedly struck him with a champagne bottle on the head.

"I was speaking to the security guard, and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle," the man said

The man was left with "a deep gash" on his head, requiring 10 stitches after the reported incident, police said.

He was charge with aggravated assault with a weapon.

Mane's appearance in the supposedly raunchy "Spring Breakers" film, which opened in theaters on March 22.

In April, 2001, Gucci Mane was arrested on cocaine charges and sentenced to 90 days in county jail. He has all sorts of legal woes throughout the years, including an arrest for aggravated assault, incarcerated in the Fulton County jail for probation violation. He was also given a six month county jail sentence after pleading guilty on two counts of battery, two counts of reckles conduct and one count of disorderly conduct.

He debuted in 2005 with Trap House, followed by Hard to Kill in 2006. The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted was released in 2010, and is his highest charting album thus far.
