A new leak revealed the rollout schedule of Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Samsung phones. The Galaxy devices are set to get Marshmallow as early as February 2016.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow will arrive soon on Samsung Galaxy devices. Express reported that a new leaked document revealed the Marshmallow update schedule for the Samsung Galaxy S5, Note 5, S6 Edge+, S6 Edge, S6, Note 4, and Note Edge.

An online tipster named XTECH LEAKS posted Samsung's update guide for Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Mobipicker. According to the document, the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ will be the first to be updated to Marshmallow on February 2016. These devices will be followed by the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 which are estimated to receive Marshmallow on either February or March 2016.

Meanwhile, users of Galaxy Note 4, Note Edge, and S5 may have to wait until March to April 2016 to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. The leaked update guide showed that all these devices have been approved to be upgraded to Marshmallow. It also specified the model number for each Galaxy gadget eligible for the Marshmallow update.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected to bring new features to the Galaxy S6 Edge. It includes a new My Places panel which provides a quick-launch for recently used apps. There will also be panels Sports, Twitter Trends, Quick Tools, Yahoo Finance, Weather, and S Planner. Users will be able to add and remove panels in Marshmallow.

International Business Times said that Samsung will roll out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow after the initial Android 6.0 release. There are also speculations that the rumored upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be unveiled running the latest Marshmallow update out of the box.

According to a previous report by Lawyer Herald, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 from Verizon has already received Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It was also reported that Samsung is currently testing out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow build on some Galaxy devices.

Once tests are successfully done, Samsung may roll out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to the Galaxy Note 4 on February 2016. The update will add the screen-off memo feature similar to the Note 5 as well as bug fixes and monthly security patches.
