LG mobile consistently launches some of the best smartphones in the industry today. The company is planning to launch two new phones early this year despite problems arising from shipping and profitability.

According to the Trusted Reviews, LG has posted its fourth quarter earnings report, revealing the full figures and also sharing some plans on how to tackle this issues. Last year LG was able to ship 15.3 million smartphones, a decline of 2% compared to last year's figures. Despite minor improvements, the company has fallen short of breaking even in 2015 as far as profits are concerned.

In the US market, LG has recorded a 13% increase as far shipping units in the fourth quarter of 2015 is concerned. A feat that is very much linked to the moderate commercial success of the LG V10. Knowing that these could be improved significantly, LG is planning to release two new flagship phones for the year 2016.

It is not new in the mobile industry that manufacturers release two premium phones in a year. Companies like Samsung has the Galaxy S and the Note 4 while Sony does it with their Xperia line-up. One of these rumored models that the Korean company will release is the LG G5, a unit that is likely to be revealed in Barcelona next month at the MWC 2016.

Hearsays and rumors that circles say that the LG G5 comes with premium features like a metallic design, a dual camera on the back and will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipsets. The current predecessor, the G4 uses a plastic body and a mid-level chip which is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 802 chipset.

As for the second premium phone that will be released, LG has not given any signs yet as for the moment. Some speculations came out that it will launch a successor to the LG V10 later this year, but no evidence was shown by the company yet. One thing is for sure, LG will be consistent in giving its customers quality Android smartphones regardless of whatever issues come their way.
