The Tennessee high school rape case is now being dealt accordingly in the court with more students and officers getting involved. The court hearing is due on Feb.15.

According to ABC News, Hamilton County Schools Superintendent Rick Smith; assistant superintendent Lee McDade; secondary operations director, Steve Holmes; and Ooltewah High principal Jim Jarvis will be receiving subpoenas. The principal and the superintendent are required to testify against Ooltewah basketball coach Andre Montgomery; assistant coach Karl Williams; and athletic director Allard Nayardley. The three officials were charged due to their failure to report the rape incident immediately to the authorities.

CNN says that just weeks after three Tennessee high school basketball members were charged of raping one of their teammates, three more students on the team claimed that they were also sexually assaulted in the group. The Tennessee high school rape case immediately started after a 15-year-old freshman player was rushed to the hospital for surgeries on Dec.22 after suffering injuries in the rape incident. Three juvenile players now face intensified rape and assault charges.

As The Washington Post reports, Karl Williams, the assistant coach for the Ooltewah High School basketball team discovered a 15-year-old basketball player covered in blood, urine and feces. According to the testament of Hamilton County District Attorney General Neal Pinkston, two sophomore players held the boy down while a third senior player thrust a pool cue to his rectum. The victim was immediately brought to the hospital foroperation of his colon and rectum.

The Tennessee high school rape case became controversial as the three officials didn't report the incident to the authorities or to child services. Meanwhile, Smith called off the basketball season that is supposed to be happening on Jan.6. The Hamilton County Superintendent also expressed his regrets for not addressing the problem right away.
