Those who have ordered through Mobiles.co.uk will expect the delivery of their devices on February 3. On the other hand, those who have ordered the smartphone via Carphone Warehouse will be having the Xperia M5 on their hands by February 8.

The Xperia M5 dipped in a shade of gold, is exclusively available through Carphone Warehouse.

International Business Times reported that Sony Xperia M5 is available for a 2-year contract and there are a number of plans to choose from. The price of the handset starts from £14.99 per month with upfront payment of £129.99 on EE; £22 with no upfront on Vodafone; £39 on O2 with no upfront; and several other payment options.

When it comes to specifications, the Sony Xperia M5 boasts a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 and 1080 x 1920 pixels (441 ppi pixel density). It weighs 142.5 g and has a dimension of 145 x 72 x 7.6 mm.

According to The Inquirer,  the successor to the storage-squeezing Xperia M4 Aqua comes with IP65 and IP68 certification to give resistance against dust and water. It is engineered with MediaTek's 64-bit Helio X10 octa-core processor and is packed with a 3 GB of RAM and Google's Android 5.0 Lollipop software.

Camera-wise, the smartphone is armed with a 13-MP camera on the front with autofocus and Full HD video recording; and a 21.5-MPrear-facing snapper armed with hybrid autofocus, 5x zoom and 4K video recording.

This smartphone doesn't have other interesting features aside from its camera but it is packed with 16 GB of built-in storage which is expandable  of up to 200GB. Powered by a 2,600mAh capacity battery which is equivalent of up to two days life, Xperia M5 also features a dual-SIM support.

Sony Xperia Z5 might not be the best smartphone out there, but it is definitely worth a look especially to those who are deciding to snag a new Xperia device in UK.
