'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7 to feature 'The Originals' crossover in Ep. 14; Nina Dobrev to return before the series finale?

EP Julie Plec has announced that "The Originals" will be having a crossover with "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 in episode 14 and Nina Dobrev will return before the series ends. Also, The CW finally released the synopsis for episode 10.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will be having a crossover episode with its spin-off series, "The Originals". Executive producer shared the plot details of the upcoming crossover where TV Line where Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) searches for a place to escape.

A place where magic can't find him and magic doesn't work there. He decides to go to a bar in New Orleans where he'll run into Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) for help. The crossover will take place in episode 14.

Speaking of Nina Dobrev, Plec hints that she will return before the show comes to an end. The executive producer revealed that there is still an untold story from Elena's character, as reported by Latin Post.

As for the official plot for episode 10, Carter Matt notes, "After finding himself on the wrong end of Julian's (guest star Todd Lasance) plan to avenge Lily's (guest star Anne Wersching) death, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) awakens to find himself trapped inside the Phoenix stone, tormented by a traumatic experience from his time in the Civil War and forced to face his darkest demon in order to get out.

On the outside, Bonnie (Kat Graham) is in a race against the clock to get Damon out before the effects of the Phoenix stone take over and leave him changed forever."

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 Episode 10 is entitled as "Hell is Other People". The forthcoming episode is slated to air on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. exclusively on The CW.
