'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 back on air Feb. 4 with June Squibb as Sheldon's meemaw

June Squibb has been cast to play as Sheldon's meemaw in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9. Squibb's character will debut in episode 14 which was originally scheduled to air last January 2016. The 14th episode's air date was delayed due to the show's brief holiday break. Still, the official synopsis has been released by CBS.

June Squibb  has been cast for "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9. According to Entertainment Weekly the Academy Award nominee will be playing the character of Sheldon Cooper's (Jim Parsons) meemaw. Squibb's character is set to appear on a February episode. The 86-year-old veteran actress is also a part of "The Nebraska" and has appeared on two other network series, "Code Black" and "Mom".

The air date for the 14th episode of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 has been delayed since the series had been off the air for a brief holiday hiatus. According to Hollywood Hills, the upcoming episode which was initially scheduled to be released last January 21, 2016 has been rescheduled to air on February 4, 2016.

As for the official synopsis for episode 14 On The Flix notes, "Meemaw is going to meet Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), but it won't be all roses. Meemaw will seem to have an axe to grind with her. Sheldon  is going to come to Amy's defense, but not before Meemaw lets a little secret of his slip."

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 Episode 14 is entitled as "The Meemaw Materialization". The forthcoming episode is slated to premiere on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. exclusively on CBS.
