Publisher Ubisoft and development studio, Ivory Tower, have released the details of the January patch for the expansion pack of the online open-world racing game "The Crew." It is not yet clear when the content update will arrive but as suggested by its name, it will most likely go live within the next few days.

According to the patch notes released by the two companies, the update will introduce new game modes to "The Crew: Wild Run." These include the Speed Trap Challenge, where gamers must look for the best path to access the radar points while driving at maximum speeds. Their final score in this challenge will be based on their average speed compiled from the radar points.

The second addition to the game will be Photo Mode. In this new feature, players will be able to take screenshots during a race. The developers of the game noted that more information regarding this mode will be unveiled in the near future.

Aside from the new modes, the January patch will also come with various gameplay improvements and bug fixes. For instance, as reported by Gamespot, through the patch, more combos and trick will be unveiled for the game's monster trucks. Also, during drift missions, players who will be able to execute long drifts with their cars will receive higher scores.

The upcoming patch is also designed to improve the handling of certain cars in the game. Some of these include the 2012 Grand Cherokee, the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and the 2013 Chrysler 300 SRT8.

PlayStation Lifestyle reported that Ubisoft and Ivory Tower that gamers will notice certain improvements in their gameplay was the patch comes out. These enhancements are for the handling of manual vehicles and the spawning points in certain missions.

"The Crew" officially came out in December of 2014 followed by its expansion pack "Wild Run" in November last year. The game is available for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 platforms.
