The Vampire Diaries and The Originals Crossover Happening, Confirms CW; Season 7 Ep. 11 Air Date Set Feb. 5

CW president Mark Pedowitz announces that "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will have a crossover with "The Originals" and creator Julie Plec reveals the plot details. Also, the official synopsis for episode 11 has been released online.

CW president Mark Pedowitz officially announced that "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will be having a crossover episode with "The Originals", as reported by Hollywood Life. Pedowitz revealed the news last January 10, 2016 at the Television Critics Association press tour.

With that being said, series creator Julie Plec discussed the crossover details with Variety. Plec stated that Stefan (Paul Wesley) heads on to "The Originals" set of New Orleans to lend a helping hand to Klaus (Joseph Morgan) that has something to do with survival.

As for the official plot synopsis for episode 11, Carter Matt notes, "With the traumatic effects of the Phoenix stone taking a toll on his brother,Stefan attempts to help Damon (Ian Somerhalder) regain his grip on reality while secretly struggling with his own experience in the stone.

Elsewhere, Matt (Zach Roerig) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) deal with the fallout after Julian (guest star Todd Lasance) and his men take over Mystic Falls, leading Matt to spiral out of control and into trouble with an officer named Penny (guest star Ana Nogueira). Meanwhile, Tyler (guest star Michael Trevino) returns to town for Alaric's (Matt Davis) baby shower and Caroline (Candice King) makes an upsetting discovery involving Alaric and his future plan for the babies."

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 Episode 11 is entitled as "Things We Lost in the Fire". The forthcoming episode is slated to air on February 5, 2016 exclusively on The CW.

"The Vampire Diaries" is an American supernatural drama TV series developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec. The storyline is based on L.J. Smith's popular book series under the same name.
