Sony Xperia Z3 is now coming closer to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade. Per new reports, Marshmallow is allegedly coming to the device anytime in February 2016.

Sony is expected to roll out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software to the Xperia Z3 device this quarter. According to a previous report circulating, the biggest Android software in history will be released to Sony devices in January 2016. However, a Canadian carrier revealed last week that it is releasing the update to some Sony devices beginning February, this sparked controversy that carriers in the United States might also be slated for a February release.

However, there is no official statement yet until now. Nevertheless, users should wait for the official statement straight from Sony, as these reports have not been confirmed either by the Japanese mobile phone manufacturer. The device had just received an update of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version.

Xperia Z3 is one of the devices that recently received the supposed final version of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update in November 2015. Other Sony devices that received this update as well are varying models of Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and Xperia Z3 Compact.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade is bringing some minor yet helpful features like a stylish clock, a memory manager, and an option for messages to pop up on the lock screen.

Marshmallow includes a message on the lock screen to pop up. Before proceeding to the whole message, users will be able to take a glance right from the screen even when it is locked. The text is situated way beneath the date and time and less noticeable.

The new clock goes a little bit chic than the original version. Google tries to take a score with the app accessory by reshaping it into a more stylish digital piece that gives a visual influence. The date text seems in all caps, while the font of the time text gets a little thicker or bolder.

The new memory manager will certainly help fare the memory use of the device which has been an ongoing issue with the software. Marshmallow allows users to check how the memory is going over the last few hours with the installed apps individually listed. This works even without a third-party app. The Memory option in the Settings menu is the one monitoring all these.
