The 2015 flagship smartphone of HTC was first confirmed to be updated with Marshmallow in December 2015 but it was not pushed through. One M9 was still in development stage then. The unlocked versions of the device had begun receiving the update early this week and will continue until completed. Versions under mobile carriers will be updated at a later time since they still have to incorporate their own build with Marshmallow.
