Samsung Galaxy E7 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update

Samsung Mobile has been busy rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to its flagship smartphones and also is currently expected to release the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version to mid-range devices including Galaxy E7.

Samsung Galaxy E7 smartphones in the Europe and Asia, as well as in the United States will begin to receive the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update along with a bunch of other mid-range smartphones and tablets. Samsung is expected to be in full swing to be rolled out to the devices this year.

Galaxy E7 being one of the best-selling smartphones of Samsung will bring with it security patches and improvements in battery, system performance and more. The changelog also revealed that the mobile operating system update will also come in with general system optimization, improved user interface animations, and camera and security enhancements.

The device is currently running the Android 4.4.4 KitKat and are slated to skip Lollipop versions 5.0, 5.0.2, and 5.1 in favor of the final Lollipop update. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop weighs roughly 750 MB.

In Russia and India, Galaxy E7 smartphones already received the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version since August 2015. To manually check for the update, go to Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for update.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will feature new Material Design, device switch, better device sync and an advanced security.

The material design is made even smoother by using nice shadows and animations, as well as vivid colors which has overall cleaner minimalist design. The device switch makes a more convenient way to transport device settings to another device through near-field communication (NFC). Settings include format for apps, wallpaper, screen layout, Wi-F connection, location, etc.

Meanwhile, sync with other device feature works by syncing anything from the TV, watches, cars, smartphones, and tablets to a device. Users can browse, listen and watch on one device and continue where one left off on another.
