The consolidated case against the affair website Ashley Madison will now proceed in a Missouri federal court after personal details of its users were revealed online. Ashley Madison's owner, Avid Life Media also promised to reveal their statement in a proper forum.

According to a report by Legal Newsline,, the litigation on the case against Ashley Madison is set to take place in St. Louis federal court. Its appeals were previously heard by the US Court of Appeals for the Eight Circuit.

Five cases against the website from Missouri, Central District of California, District of Alabama, and Northern District of Texas are set to be consolidated and will be coordinated by US District Judge John Ross of the Eastern District.

The Avid Life Media Company is facing cases seeking millions worth of damages after hackers called "The Impact Team" hacked in the private data of the website. The hackers initially threatened to  reveal personal details of their users if the company refuse to permanently shut down the website.

The company refused which paved the way for the group to follow their promise to leak the important information.  As reported by The Clarion-Ledger, the company stated that they are aware of the charges filed against them and will release official statement in a proper forum.

"Recent media reports predicting the imminent demise of Ashley Madison are greatly exaggerated. The company continues its day-to-day operations even as it deals with the theft of its private data by criminal hackers. Despite having our business and customers attacked, we are growing.", Avid Life Media stated.

"we are aware of reports concerning lawsuits being filed against Avid Life Media. Avid Life Media Inc. will address any litigation in the appropriate forum and will not be commenting further", they further added.

As reported by Independent, a Brazilian woman, Dorian Siva also previously filed a case against Ashley Madison claiming to have received Repetitive Strain Injury after the company allegedly told her to input 1,000 fake female accounts.

However, Ashley Madison counter sued Silva, and both parties eventually agreed to settle. Ashley Madison is a dating website targeted at married individuals encouraging them to have affairs. 'Life is short, have an affair', is the website's tagline.
