'Dark Souls III' Update: Japanese Promotional Pamphlet Reveals Game Mechanics

Few months before Dark Souls III will be officially released, a Japanese promotional brochure tipped fans on the details of the game's mechanics and features.

The promotional pamphlet of Dark Souls III distributed in Japan emphasized game's features, mechanics and some in-game screenshots, according to Gear Nuke. Translated by Reddit user TheMindWraith to English, the poster also includes Dark Souls III a Deluxe Map and original soundtrack CD as pre-order bonuses.

The source mentioned game developer has guaranteed that Dark Souls III will be the best entry of the franchise. The third series offers a range of new features and improvements on the combat speed, roleplaying elements, character builder, and connected worlds, among others.

The poster also discloses Dark Souls III being "deeper" that the earlier series, says Segment Next. It introduces the dynamism of the game in terms of lights sources, ashes and shadows and strong online system.

Game Zone further describes the game based the leaked poster. The first page of the brochure details the online gameplay, leaving messages, PvP, and co-op. The second page contains the following summarized information on the new action battle skill; tactic based fighting skills such as the two-sword spin attack. Players can also spar with a Knight or use mace to test the endurance of the enemies with the attacks. Weapons and abilities are also revealed such as the shockwave, chanting ability, magic ability, axe weapon and short bow

Aside from that, Game Zone points out that Dark Souls III allows players to build the character with freedom thus increasing the sense of roleplaying.

Developed by FromSoftware, Dark Souls 3 is slated to be released in Japan on March 24, 2016 on Playstation4 and Xbox One. The game will be hitting the shelves in North America and Europe on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on April 12, 2016.
