Paul Walker's character will still be in the Fast & Furious 8 movie, but in another form, says NBC Universal vice-chairman Ron Meyer.

SkyNews reported that Ron Meyer announced that the late Paul Walker, who died in a car accident in 2013 at the age of 40, will be represented in another form in the upcoming Fast & Furious franchise.

Meyer said, "Paul won't be in it, but he'll be represented in some form or another, but whether his image is in it, I can't tell you yet, but he won't be in the film as a performer, as an actor, the way we did it last time." In the Fast & Furious 7 movie, Brian O'Conner, Paul's character, was shot using Cody Walker (Paul's brother) as body double.

"We've written out story lines for various characters," said Vin Diesel in a report by Variety. "We've been playing with it for a long time. It's a very rich property and we're committed to treating it with a lot of class."

This hints of a Fast & Furious universe with prequels and spin-offs from the very rich characters, cars, and criminals. Universal Chairman Donna Langley revealed that they are discussing on how to build sequels and prequels from the franchise's story, according to a report by Ecumenical News.

Dwayne Johnson even hinted that his character agent Luke Hobbs could have his own spin-off movie, featuring his independent adventures.

That move would mirror what "Star Wars" and Marvel Movies has been doing. Star Wars will be releasing a prequel movie called Rogue One, which will focus on a story before the original Star Wars: A New Hope happened.

For now, there will be three more Fast & Furious franchise that fans should look forward to. Meanwhile, according to reports, Fast & Furious 8 will be released in 2017.
