HTC One E9 Android 6.0 Marshmallow Release Update: First Look of New Sense 7.0 UI

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is rolling out to HTC One E9 smartphones this quarter as confirmed by the Taiwanese giant. The update will bring in improvements to Sense 7.0 user interface along with Android's new key features.

HTC One E9 is confirmed to be receiving the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade via over-the-air (OTA) release. Per list of HTC for its Marshmallow plans outlining the expected time of arrival, the finest Android software will begin to roll out to One E9 and a few other devices as soon as January 2016.

The smartphone is now running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop software version and will be skipping the Lollipop's first maintenance release. HTC had been the most generous mobile phone manufacturer in terms of providing information to their patrons about software updates.

Marshmallow is also confirmed rolling out to HTC One M9+, HTC One M9, HTC One M8 Eye, HTC One ME, HTC One E9+, HTC One E8, One Butterfly 3, Desire 826, Desire 820, Desire 816 and Desire Eye. More devices are still coming up. One M8 has just been updated to Android 6.0 last December, while One A9 will be receiving the Android 6.0.1 version.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes with several key improvements in overall performance. A good number of the best known features of the upgrade include support for fingerprint scanner and Android Pay, more mobile payment systems like Visa, Master Card, Discovery and Google Pay, more intuitive Google Now, better apps permissions, redesigned app drawer, direct share, improved copy, cut and paste options, and several others.

Meanwhile, HTC's well-received Sense user interface in now coming to 7.0 version. Sense 7.0 has more fluid animations and a few changes for a more convenient user experience.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been pioneered by Google's Nexus 5X made by LG and Nexus 6P made by Huawei. It has just begun releasing also to Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 9 and is expected to hit Nexus 6 very soon.
