'Thor: Ragnarok' is an upcoming superhero film starring Chris Hemsworth in the lead role. Mark Ruffalo is set to portray the Hulk and talked about his character's relationship with Hemsworth's Thor. Cate Blanchett is also in talks to play a lead role in the new film.

According to Screen Crush, Mark Ruffalo previously admitted that his character Hulk will share some considerable screen time with Chris Hemsworth's titular god of thunder. Speaking with AICN, the actor said that the film will move away from the traditional Hulk and Thor relationship. He said, "I think it's really exciting where we could go with it. Now I feel like we're kind of in No Man's Land... We're starting to mess with it a little bit."

In 2015's 'Avengers: Age of Ultron', Hulk disappeared on the Quinjet to isolate himself completely from all of humanity. The Quinjet later reappeared on 'Ant-Man' but without the Hulk. In the comic books' original storyline, Hulk stopped turning back into Dr. Bruce Banner.

According to Newsarama, Ruffalo hinted, "He's on the run. I think that we carry that through... It's not just a matter of taking himself to some remote place and hiding. Now he's removing himself from humanity altogether. I'm not sure where we're going to head with that, but I'm sure that's probably still very much alive within him."

Meanwhile, Academy Award-winner Cate Blanchett is in talks for a powerful new lead role in 'Thor: Ragnarok'. According to /Film, several speculations point to possible characters such as Amora the Enchantress, Hela Goddess of Death or Karnila but no official announcements have been made as of the present. Emily Blunt, Jessica Chastain and Charlize Theron have also been rumored to take up a role of a key female villain.

'Thor: Ragnarok' is an upcoming action-adventure film directed by Taika Waititi based on the screenplay by Stephany Folsom, Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost. It is scheduled to be released on November 3, 2017 and stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor.
