The GoPro Hero 5's release was rumored to arrive in October but did not materialize for some reason. Now, the sports camera is reported to hit the market shelves in 2016 together with a Drone named GoPro Karma.

According to Ecumenical News, fans are eagerly waiting on the GoPro Hero 5 and the very first GoPro drone called Karma. The Hero 5's release, which was originally reported to be in October of this year, got postponed to the early months of 2016. The top maker of versatile cameras is still believed to be furnishing the features and adding some upgrades that will make the camera standout from its competitors. Based on some reports, this might be the reason for the delayed release of the device.

Master Herald stated that GoPro founder and CEO Nick Woodman first hinted about the release of Hero 5 along with a Drone. But it was only a few weeks ago that the company has stated the official name for it. Basically the handset is to be called as the GoPro Karma. Woodman did not state anything more about the GoPro Karma, but he did guarantee the action camera fanatics that the device would bring a real 'Oh my God moment' to users.

GoPro has reportedly released an official teaser for the GoPro Karma which also showed the possible release date and what the drone is capable of shooting.

The GoPro Hero 5  might have the ability to operate underwater at a depth of 60 meters. This means that the hero 5 will come with a better water proof housing compared to the one used in the Hero 4.

Other reports stated that the GoPro Hero 5 would be able to capture videos in 8K. This is a great move as 8K televisions have started to come into the market and many think that people will start turning more often to cameras that can shoot 8K videos. Also, there are signs that the GoPro Hero 5 will be smaller and lighter than the current camera.

Additionally, with the Apple Watch now able to control the Hero 4 camera from GoPro, the upcoming camera is also likely to have the same functionality. This basically means that users do not have to pick up a smartphone or even use a remote control to control the sport camera.

GoPro Hero 5 might be released together with the Karma drone. These are all just predictions though, and the company has not released an official statement yet as of writing. However, as the speculated debut nears, more details about the sports camera might surface soon.
