An Ohio woman was apprehended by law enforcement after reportedly wishing death upon an 11-year-old after assaulting the child at a park, officials say.

Officers from the Canton Police Department responded to reports of an assault at a park on Friday, as reported by WOIO.

Destany Scott, 20, had allegedly gotten into an argument with the child's mother, Paige Dishong, after initially getting into a fight with the child.

Scott allegedly got into a disagreement with the child and "repeatedly slammed her head off the metal portion of a slide," then telling Dishong that she hoped the child dies as she was being arrested, according to a police report obtained by the outlet.

Dishong reportedly proceeded to charge at Scott, for which she was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing official business. She will be arraigned on May 2.

Scott was charged with assault and disorderly conduct. She pleaded not guilty at her arraignment on Tuesday, and is due for a pre-trial hearing April 29.
