A South Carolina man accused of killing his brother allegedly made a murder-to-do-list, according to prosecutors looking to match his handwriting to it.

Charles Gordon Perry IV, 54, faces murder and weapons charges related to the death of his brother, David Perry, 51, ABC-4 News reported. Perry's body was found inside a warehouse at the family business with a fatal gunshot wound.

Prosecutors filed a motion asking for a sample of Charles Gordon Perry's handwriting after finding a notebook in his office, the station reported. The notepad included the following notations:

  • Gun
  • Kill Cameras
  • Unique Pants, Unique Shirt-longsleeve, Unique Socks
  • Hammer
  • To Do: Leave Phone, Leave iPad
  • Home: Burn clothes/Rag/Suit, Clean & Toss Casings, Gun

According to the station, the notepad referred to "gas, extra gas, gloves, and heavy gloves."

Police went to the business, Carolina Sound Communications, around 10:30 p.m. Dec. 18 after receiving reports of a missing person, WCSC-5 reported.

The station reported that police found a backpack down the street that had a gun inside. Officers asked Perry if it was his, and he said it was but had not seen it in a couple of days. Police stated that they saw "red spots" on Perry's shoes and pants, WCSC-5 reported.

Police checked security camera footage of the warehouse and discovered two hours was missing. Police charged Perry on Dec. 10.
