In its official Twitter account, CBS posted off-cam photos of Matther Gray Gubler, who plays the role of Dr. Spencer Reid. In the photos, Gubler is joined by episode writer Janine Sherman Barrois and a "Criminal Minds" director last July 23.
"On #CriminalMinds, a director, actor & writer walk into a bar...nope, turns out it was a morgue. EP10x02 Day 3 of 8," read the caption of the picture.
On a July 16 post on the social networking website, the production team of the show also shared another photo taken during their filming for the pilot episode of "Criminal Minds" Season 10. The photo showed a series of linens stained with fake blood. The image naturally came with a caption, which read, "Don't mind us, just airing some dirty laundry. #criminalminds #Bleach #October EP 10x01 Day 6 of 8."
As the show is gradually nearing its return on the small screen, bits of information also start to surface on social media platforms. For one, a report from Enstarz.com said that AJ Cook, who plays the role of Jennifer Jareau, has recently unveiled details about upcoming season 10 and said that the upcoming season will pick up from the way events had panned out during the previous season.
"It's Season 10, its going to be a big season. I will say that how Season 9 ends will directly impact Season 10," Cook had then said.
Reports have also suggested that Joe Mantegna, one of "Criminal Minds"' regular cast members and plays David Rossi, will once again helm the director's camera in Season 10, just as he did in the previous season. In the wake of the news about his directorial stint for Season 10, Mantegna is said to have suggested for a bigger budget for the upcoming episode that he would be filming.
On the other hand, rumors are circulating in the Internet about the rumored role of "Dawson's Creek" star Kerr Smith as Frank Cowls, a killer who has an unusual fetish with human limbs, or an acrotomophile. New cast member Jennifer Love Hewitt, who will play the role of FBI agent Kate Callahan, is said to be focused in the hunt for Cowls in the upcoming season.
