Apple Releases New MacOS Update Including GPU, Battery Fixes

By

The Apple macOS Sierra 10.12.3 has just received an update for a bugfix. The update also incorporates many much-needed alterations for the MacBook Pro that was released last year only.

The update issued by Apple introduces a couple of fixes designed for the 15-inch model's graphics chipset. The company has also fixed the fetching bug Safari icon which affected battery life. The web holds plenty of multimedia visuals and screenshots that showcase the novel GPU of the MacBook Pro apparently overheating.

The overheating contributed to multiple graphical glitches and rendered users' computers unusable. With the last video accumulating hundreds of thousands of views, it became apparent that the issue was a common one. Apple had already declared the issue as fixed in the previous update.

However, it appears like there were a few fixes that were missing. Users who were heavy on the usage of Adobe Premier Pro encountered the issue in abundance as well as those who indulged in GPU-intensive tasks on the 15-inch model. The new update should fix these issues for good this time.

Apple also released a statement earlier this month about Consumer Reports' battery benchmark on the new MacBook Pro. As Consumer Reports cites, the MacBook Pro displayed poor performance in terms of battery life. The company has however pinpointed the bug which contributed to the Consumer Reports' benchmark.

For once, the Safari icon fetching bug was making use of far too any resources. The release of Apple's fix with the 10.12.3 beta 3 takes care of the issue and it appears as if the latest version of macOS 10.12.3 comes alongside the Safari update (10.0.3).

Plenty of other vital security updates and minor fixes make up part of the new update. The Mac App Store carries the download and update of the macOS version for all users to benefit from the release.
