Apple Adds Essential Features In New Music Software Update

By

Apple's professional and highly user-friendly music editing apps have just received an update that includes advanced features and file-sharing abilities between both software. The updates also feature support for the touch-sensitive Touch Bar on new MacBook Pro laptops.

Apple has been under fire for monopolizing the market and recent price hikes have not aided the company's case. However, it is taking the matter under its wing and continuing in the swift and thorough updates and progress of its applications. The GarageBand 2.2. for iOS boasts a refurbished sound browser which is inclusive of "multi-take recordings".

This feature enables users to record and switch between the different takes. The browser also has advanced and improved effects such as pitch correction and vocal and distortion effects. Additionally, it has also incorporated the Alchemy synthesizer software which was previously only found on the Logic Pro X - the professional Apple music software.

The updates added to both leading music editing software created headlines. The Logic Pro X 10.3 now support Touch Bar controls. In layman terms, this goes to say that users can function the app fully by means of the brand new touch-sensitive strip on the 2016 MacBook Pro keyboard.

This enables MacBook Pro users as well as Logic users to view their projects on the Touch Bar in a Timeline as well as access setting such as controls, volume and software instruments for musical tracks. The two software can also record stuff and share it between one another by means of the iCloud. This is an improvement on the one-sided GarageBand to Logic Pro file transfer.

The updated software allows users to work on tracks with full functionality while in transit or offline mode and later import the data back to Logic Pro on their Mac. For existing users, the updates are free of cost but not so for new users in the case of Logic Pro. As for GarageBand, users who purchase a new Apple device get the software absolutely free of charge but older users need to purchase it off the Apple store.
