The Mac OS has received a supplemental security update by Apple. The update is seen in the OS X El Capitan which is one version prior to the Sierra OS for Mac.
The struggles faced by Apple are in no way hindering the progress of the company. Weighing in at 623.9MB the update can be easily found at the Mac App Store for compatible machines. Apple released the update to El Capitan users for a kernel issue.
Users have reported that their devices would occasionally "become unresponsive". The update is a free download and can also be found at Apple support pages. The El Capitan OS was initially released in July. It will come as news to users that the kernel fix is not the only feature added in the supplemental security update.
Although the company did not disclose the full contents of the update, the Apple security page will soon list all the security changes that come alongside the update. Users can head to the Apple support document in case of any confusion or if they feel in need of further information regarding the OS or the update.
The latest Apple operating system is the Mac OS Sierra 10.12.3. Currently, on beta 4, it is available open for developers as well as public beta testers. In the prior version, Mac OS 10.12.2, Apple threw in a variety of new wallpapers as well as SIP fixes.
To say the least, Apple is going steady and strong despite the price hikes and lawsuits headed its way. Another major addition lauded by users was the "estimated time remaining" for the battery percentage in the menu bar battery of the system.
The feature was complained about in abundance by Mac users. Apple removed the feature because of its lack of accuracy of the 2016 MacBook Pro battery life.
