Betty White Celebrates 95th Birthday While Working On Set

By

Betty White is going strong as she turns 95 today! Proving that age doesn't slow her down, the Emmy-winning actress is doing what she is best known for and that is working hard in Hollywood.

According to TMZ, White is preparing for a guest spot on the sitcom "Young & Hungry" on Freeform TV. Sources close to the actress disclosed that she has very low-key plans for her birthday, just a small get-together with friends and that she chose to attend a table read and run around the set instead of relaxing on her big day.

While Freeform TV has yet to announce a premiere date for the fifth season of "Young & Hungry", the episode featuring the birthday girl will air sometime this 2017. The sitcom is about chef/food blogger Gabi Diamond making her way in San Francisco. White will play Ms. Wilson, the neighbor of Gabi, helping the latter get herself back together. It can be expected that the American treasure will be using her trademark wit, deadpan delivery and zero cares about what people will say.

Staying true to the character that she portrays, White offered up advice for living a fulfilled life and that is to "Keep busy and don't focus everything on you." The nation's collective Nana did not have any specific wisdom to impart her 95-year-old self. She has been married three times and says she would've probably done the same.

The actress who is best known for her role as Rose Nylund on "The Golden Girls" further stated that she welcomes the idea of a possible reboot of the show and will happily reprise her role if given the chance.  The actress expressed her gratitude for still getting work despite being in her 90s which is something least expected. "You think you'll fade off into the sunset. Well, the sun sets every night, but I just won't go away," she said.
