Selena Gomez spotted dating with ‘The Weeknd’

By

Selena Gomez decided to start the New Year with a bang - literally - as she was spotted cozying up to The Weeknd on a romantic dinner.

Dining at the Giorgio Baldi hotspot in Los Angeles, the pair was said to have stayed for three full hours and looked ecstatic when they emerged. Needless to say they did not care to hide the PDA before departing from the diner.

E!News sources state that although Gomez and the "Starboy" singer arrived in separate vehicles, they definitely left together in the back of The Weeknd's car. As for Selena's driver, he trailed behind.

Selena Gomez could not keep her hands off of The Weeknd and although sources state that it is "nothing serious right now", it looks a lot like the beginning of a serious relationship. Her "super affectionate" behavior is hard to put off as non-serious just yet.

The Weeknd was reported to have recently split from fashion model Bella Hadid. The singer and model stated that their busy schedules made it tough for them to carry on their relationship but both affirmed that they have "a great deal of love for one another".

In other news, the "Same Old Love" songstress recently took a 90-day hiatus in last year's Fall to "take care" of herself. As she explained in the Thrive Global questionnaire, the break left her feeling rejuvenated, calm and refreshed. Well, isn't that evident?

During the break, Gomez stated that she had no access to her phone and now she "barely" ever picks it up, making sure that she stays in touch with very few individuals. She made an appearance at the 2016 American Music Awards marking the end of her hiatus.

Despite being "something new", we can't help but wonder if Selena will actually take on this relationship as seriously as she did with Justin Bieber.
