Bernie Sanders Brings Giant Printout of Donald Trump Tweet at Senate Floor

Perhaps one of the most surprising results that came from 2016 was the victory of President-elect Donald Trump. While Trump supporters were enthralled at the news of their candidate winning the election, there was a lot of people, most definitely those that supported either of the two other candidates running during that election, that were not too keen on Mr. Trump's victory.

Many even more so questioned the state of America as it heralded its idea of change with Donald Trump's election. Still, there are those that, up until this day, still battle hard to protest against many of the changes that are about to set foot in America for the next four years. One of those, it seems, is the previous representative for the Democratic party, Bernie Sanders. It seems that he has not completely given in to the future before him.

While speaking on the Senate Floor, Bernie Sanders had made his statement on the current issue with Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. He insisted that Donald Trump would veto any cuts to the three, and he did this by using one of the President's very own tweets, as reported by Time.

Because of the recent controversy of lawmakers and their argument to repeal Obamacare, Bernie came to the floor on that day using one of the tweets made by Donald Trump, saying how he would not be making any cuts towards Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Cosmopolitan reports that the Donald Trump said that he was the first and only potential candidate that stated there would be no cuts to the three services mentioned. Because of this, Senator Bernie Sanders argued that the President should keep his word and not alter the services that are currently being debated over by lawmakers. It will be difficult to have any more changes made to the services now that Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders was kind enough to bring proof of what the President tweeted in his campaign.
