Pawn Stars' Chumlee could return to the show, says Rick Harrison; Set for trial next week

Pawn Stars' Chumlee has returned to social media several weeks before he is expected to appear in court for 20 felony charges he is currently facing. The debate is also still ongoing whether the fan favorite cast member would still be able to return to the show after the case.

As reported by Movie News Guide, Austin Russell or more popularly known as Chum Lee has reactivated his Instagram and Facebook accounts where he shared photos and posts of his vacation from Pawn Stars. However, he is keeping a tight mouth about the case which some detractors occasionally use against him.

Russell was arrested in March this year after his house was searched on grounds of an alleged sexual assault on a woman. According to Gazette Review, the police found insufficient evidence on the sexual assault case, but were able to recover a total of 12 guns only four of which were registered to Russell as well as cannabis, 17 bars of Xanax, and methamphetamine.

He was eventually charged with 19 cases of drug and gun possession. Russell was jailed but eventually got out by paying his bail of $62,000. Russell and people close to him have not released their comments about the case.

Despite being the fan-favorite in the show, Russell has not returned yet. It is speculated that he could be permanently ejected from Pawn Stars. However, according to Health Aim, co-host Rick Harrison posted hinting that Russell could eventually land back in the pawnshop.

Harrison said that he will help Russell in any way he can, and believes in his innocence. He could also return if he is able to clear his name in the court. Russell has become one of the beloved members of the show due to his implied lack of intelligence.  He is currently running a merchandise company where he sells goods he personally designed.  He is set to appear in court in May 23.
