Frozen 2: Recording to begin anytime soon; Kristen Bell details production progress, teases a 'great story'

Elsa and Anna are to continue their adventures in the upcoming Frozen 2. Kristen Bell confirmed that the script has just been written and the cast are expected to begin recordiing soon. New songs are also expected to captivate the fans of the franchise.  

While on board the promotional train for her comedy film, The Boss, bell detailed the progress for Frozen 2. According to Mirror, Bell stated that the script is being finalized and recording will begin soon.  "We're just about to [start recording]. They've just written it, and they're still doing tweaks, but I think we shall be recording this month." Bell said.

The actress also kept mum about the plot but assured fans that the story will be as good as the first film. "The story is great and they exude quality, and what I know about that whole team is that they wouldn't just put something out to put it out." She said. Bell also said that the mouse house made sure that they had a compelling and excellent story to tell before they announced the sequel.

According to Ecumenical News, director Chris Buck hinted previously that the sequel will feature the fun side of Elsa which was not explored as much in the first film. However, official plot details  for the film are still under wraps.

Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez who created the songs "Let it go" and "For the first time" were tapped to make new songs for the sequel.  Moreover, according to Movie News Guide, a holiday television special for the franchise was confirmed by ABC.

The tv special is expected to feature the next chapter of the Frozen story and will see the return of Bell, Idina Menzel, and Josh Gad to give life to the characters of Anna, Elsa, and Olaf respectively. Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee are set to return as directors for Frozen 2. An official release date is yet to be announced for the sequel.
