The Elder Scrolls 6: Rumors Claim Title to Release for Next Gen Consoles; Bethesda's Development Affected?

By

Bethesda's idea of The Elder Scrolls 6 or Skyrim 2 has plagued the web with rumors and speculations despite the valiant efforts of the developer to throw them all aside. So far, the continuing battle for a sixth game leaves both the fans and the developer restless.

According to Master Herald, fans are still putting up a fight against the spreading word of Bethesda that there will no longer be any continuity to The Elder Scrolls series, especially after the success of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Some speculation speaks of the possibility that The Elder Scrolls 6 will release for the generation of consoles, presumably in the form of Skyrim 2 and to be made compatible to the said hardware.

As per Gaming Bolt, judging by the way that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was created, the next title is also rumored to require a higher standard in terms of graphics, thus corresponding to the aforementioned next-generation console launch rumor. To further elaborate on the matter, it was also a presumption that for the most part, the next game will end up being a trendsetter for the game in terms of visual excellence.

Noted by Yibada, the said rumors that have gone around for the presumed title may start to get to the nerves of Bethesda. Being focused on other hard-hitting games that were officially confirmed, such as the DOOM reboot which is slated to come within the year and the ongoing Fallout 4 that announced a whole batch of downloadable contents, the attention of Bethesda is surely put on those that require such.

No release dates or even the announcement of The Elder Scrolls 6 has been launched to the public so far. Whether the game will be simply titled as mentioned or if it will be called Skyrim 2 for marketing purposes, Bethesda is yet to give word on the said game. Stay tuned for more updates.
