Game of Thrones Spoilers: Sophie Turner discusses Sansa Stark's fate in Season 6

By

The season 6 of HBO's Game of Thrones, set to premiere on April 24, would most likely come up with several surprising plots as the series almost covered all the major storylines of the books penned by George R.R. Martin. A major spoiler, however, was accidentally revealed during Oscars night on Sunday by Sophie Turner, the actress who plays Sansa Stark.

A video of E! Live's interview with Turner had the actress admit that Sansa will not die in the coming season, Vanity Fair reported Feb. 28. The news was in contrast to fans' belief that Sansa might be one of the unfortunate characters who will bite the dust after what she experienced during the previous season.

"I'm like flicking through [the script] saying, death, death, death, death ... alright, I'm good for this season," Turner said on Oscars night, Bustle also reported. Sansa will live through the season while other characters may not be so lucky, online reports said.

"I mean this season is a really, really big one for Sansa," Turner was cited by Entertainment Weekly in late January. "It's probably her best season yet. It's her really coming into her own. She, this season, really commands the respect that she deserves and she grabs hold of it and she runs with it and it's really good," the actress added.

The previous season saw Sansa going home to Winterfell and marry Ramsay Bolton, played by Iwan Rheon. She also encountered Theon, played by Alfie Allen, the magazine reported. Although Sansa's fate was uncertain during the season finale, Turner said that this season, fans will be satisfied with her storyline.

Promo pictures for the season, which showed several dead heads on the wall, heightened speculation among fans. The images for Hall of Faces included that of Tyrion, Dany and Jaime, Bustle noted.

Game of Thrones officially returns on the small screens with Season 6 premiere episode slated April 24 on HBO.
