Bristol Palin Ex-Fiancé Dakota Meyer Demands Joint Custody and Child Support Over Daughter

Bristol Palin ex-fiancé Dakota Meyer is seeking legal help to reportedly prevent any problem that may arise over child support payments. Dakota, an ex-Marine filed documents claiming he wants joint legal and physical custody.  The former Marine is also demanding another thing, he wants child support from the daughter of former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin.

According to International Business Times, Dakota claimed in the court papers that he makes $100,000 yearly for working as a construction worker and he's getting $37,000 disability benefits from Marine Corps.  Bristol is not yet seeking child support from her ex fiancé. Based on Alaskan law, Dakota is due to give his child with Bristol named Sailor Grace more than $1,700 child support.

In January, Dakota's identity as the father of Bristol's daughter was revealed. TMZ reported that time that they have gathered court documents to prove that Meyer filed legal papers to claim that he's the biological father of Sailor Grace. The site also says that Dakota is appealing for a joint legal and physical custody for Sailor Grace. It was known that Bristol and her previous boyfriend broke up three months after her conception, and days before their planned wedding in Kentucky.

Radar Online reports that it was the first time for Bristol to face child support battle. In December, the 25-year-old TV personality just finished a bitter child support battle with her first baby daddy, Levi Johnston, the father of her 7-year-old son Tripp Palin.  Bristol was fighting for custody battle, child support, visitation agreements and other matters with Levi for several years.

"The parties have reached a final custody and visitation agreement for residing in the same community and have executed, personally and through their attorneys, a confidential stipulation regarding custody. Therefore, the only pending issue to be addressed by the Court is the matter of past and future child support," the court documents says.

Bristol has yet to comment on the issue over the latest issue. She appeared on "Dancing with the Stars" and wrote a book that has become a best-seller entitled, "Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far."
