Hillary Clinton defends Albright’s statements regarding women backing up Bernie Sanders; Steinem apologizes for remark claims in politics

Hillary Clinton backs up the statements released by close supporter Madeleine Albright over the race between Clinton and rival, Bernie Sanders, in the Democratic presidential race. Meanwhile, another supporter of Clinton, Gloria Steinem apologized on her remarks regarding the sexism in the race.

Democratic presidential race bet Hillary Clinton defended the comments of Madeleine Albright saying "there is a special place in hell" for women who do not support her as according to The Guardian. The article further elaborated that Clinton said that the remarks of Albright was nothing new. She added that Albright already issued that statement since 2008 when she also supported Clinton's race against Barack Obama.

"Madeline has been saying this for many, many years. She believes it firmly, in part because she knows what a struggle it has been, and she understands the struggle is not over."

Clinton believes that this is rooted from Albright's long fight for gender equality. However, the statements proved to cause anger as others find them condescending in nature.

Meanwhile, another supporter of Hillary Clinton, Gloria Steinem released a public apology after her comments on gender provoked many. According to Time, feminist writer Gloria Steinem apologized on Sunday using her Facebook account after saying that young women who support Bernie Sanders in this race are there to meet boys. Steinem commented on the young women's actions saying that they're getting more active as they get older while boys stay with Sanders. The writer said that she "misspoke" after asked on why Clinton is losing the race with younger women. On her post, she retracted what she said and further implying that feminism has greater numbers than ever before.

The two women were slammed by media and voters after their comments were heard. In the article by RT, criticisms regarding their remarks sparked on social media. The article said that Albright's comments are described as condescending, vile, and inappropriate. Moreover, Steinem's statement also provoked some detailing that her comments are shaming women for following their own judgment.

Their comments proved to have emerged negative comments since it was targeted on younger women's actions to support Clinton rival, Bernie Sanders, on the presidential race.
