Jenelle Evans' ex turns himself in after a warrant was issued against him for larceny

Reality star Jenelle Evans' ex Nathan Griffith has turned himself in to the police after  a warrant was issued against him for larceny. However, he was not detained for long and ended up being a free man by afternoon.

As reported by Radar Online, Griffith turned himself at the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office and was accompanied by his lawyer. According to  a criminal attorney, Griffith entered the office at 10 am, was given an unsecured bond which requires him to attend to every court hearing.

"He was given an unsecured bond and what that means is that he did not have to 'put up' any money; instead, he was only required to promise to attend all of his court dates", criminal attorney Megan Milliken stated.

However, according to Lt. Jerry Brewer of the County Sheriff's Office, Griffith was not given a bond since he was not being held. Lt. Brewer added that he was simply taken to the magistrate where he was asked to sign a promissory note which technically makes his custody time short.

According to Lt. Brewer, Griffith was out of the office by afternoon of the same day. "Because it was a warrant - it was a violent North Carolina warrant - he shows up at the front desk. The front desk people said, 'Ok come with us,' patted him down and made sure he didn't have any weapons, put handcuffs on him, walked him about 100 feet to the magistrate, took the handcuffs off and saw the magistrate. He was out yesterday afternoon", he said.

The warrant was reportedly made by Evans herself which is a legal step in North Carolina. As reported by The Hollywood Gossip, Evans complained that Griffith stole her car in the airport while she was in Miami for a short while.

Evans stated that her car was stolen along with other valuable items in it amounting to $1,000. However, Griffith defended himself recently saying that he only stole the car including a stroller and other items to show it to the judge to prove that he is a good father.

Meanwhile, as reported by Design N Trend, Evans opened up about her  biological father in her new website,  jenellelaurenevans.com. According to the Teen Mom 2 star, her parents' relationship was not in its best state while growing up as there were fights with physical altercations while she was growing up.

She added that it remains as a question to her whether cutting ties with her father was the best decision but unless she get to talk with him, it will remain as an unanswered question. Evans and Griffith's case is set to move forward in court on March 07, 2016.
