By

"NCIS" Season 13 is in search of a series regular to play as the newest FBI special agent Tess for the upcoming 14th installment. This is to keep the series going despite that the show is highly likely to be cancelled after lead actor Michael Weatherly confirmed his exit. Also, CBS finally released the official plot description for "Decompressed".

After lead actor Michael Weatherly (Anthony DiNozzo) confirmed that he will leave at the end of season 13, the series is currently in search of a new addition. According to TV Line, CBS is now looking for a new series regular to portray the role of Tess in the upcoming season 14. Tess is an FBI special agent in her late 30's, she just transferred to Washington D.C. from New York City's counter-terrorism unit.

On the contrary, "NCIS" Season 13 is highly likely to be cancelled by CBS due to the change of casts and the same storylines of the episodes. The looming exit of Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo (Ziva David) will cause a drop in the show's viewership and the audience will lose interest, as mentioned on TV Fanatic

As per the official synopsis for episode 14 TV Guide notes that "A deep sea diver is murdered on the job, and his body and his suspected coworkers must remain in a high-tech decompression chamber for 4 days, which forces the NCIS team to undergo an unorthodox investigation from outside the tank."

"NCIS" Season 13 Episode 14 is entitled as "Decompressed". The series is currently on a brief hiatus and is slated to return this Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. exclusively on CBS. "NCIS" is an American police procedural drama TV series created by Donald P. Bellisario and Don McGill. The storyline revolves around a fictional team of special agents from the Naval Crime Investigative Service.
