Kesha Frustrated Over Date Change for Dr Luke Case Hearing

By

Often times, celebrities have to resort to the help of the court to help them with an issue they are facing. In most cases, they get the help they need. But for pop star Kesha, this is something she has to wait for another 22 days.

The 28-year-old filed a case against her producer, Dr Luke's Kemosabe Records, when she accused him of sexual assault over a year ago. Ever since then, she hasn't been able to continue with her music career. In addition to this, Sony did not investigate the issue and did not take any corrective action or even attempted to conceal the abuse the singer experienced under Dr Luke's management. Because of this, the singer filed a request so she could legally break free from her contract with the producer and continue recording music with other label companies.

The "Tik Tok" singer originally waited for the court's decision on Tuesday. Supporters of the singer even flocked outside the New York State Supreme Court to hold a rally in support of the singer and used hashtags #FreeKesha.

Unfortunately, the injunction hearing was rescheduled for February 19 as affected by Storm Jonas. The singer confirmed the date change on her Twitter account where she posted a drawing of a heart. She also thanked those who have supported her through this legal battle and claimed that the reason for the delay of the court's decision was due to "travel problems" brought about by the weather.

In addition to the heart drawing, Kesha posted a black and white selfie of her eyes and said that she was already frustrated by the delay. This was posted after she learned of the crowd that had formed outside the courthouse to show their support for the singer. She apologized for the court's decision to postpone the hearing because she knows that her fans had spent "time and money and love and effort" to show her their support.

Dr Luke has denied all allegations Kesha has claimed against him.
