Zumba Prositution Case: Mark Strong Gets 20 Days in Jail for Role Sex Operation at Maine Fitness Studio

By

Mark Strong Sr., of Thomastan, Maine was convicted of 12 counts for promoting prostitution and one count of conspiracy for his role in a sex operation with his mistress Alexis Wright's Zumba studio in the quiet Kennebunk town on Thursday.

Strong also secretly videotaped sex acts from Wright's studio, The New York Daily News reported.

The 57-year old apologized for his actions and the judge ordered him to pay a $3,000 fine, according to reports. In this media-watched case, Strong reportedly helped oversee Wright's business by receiving Google calendar alerts for her appointments, reviewing ledgers, all the while watching her encounters and running clients' license plate numbers through the Main Bureau of Motor Vehicles database.

He used his status as a private investigator to check out the plate numbers, prosecutors said. Strong watch the sexual encounters live via Skype, as voyeur and "acting as her protector."

Strong, a married man with two children, acknowledged his own affair with the 30-year-old Wright, also loaning her money.

"I guess that I'm the only one who can know the remorse that I have," Strong said. "I do apologize for each of my selfish action and the harm that I have caused many. Most importantly I want to apologize to my wife, my two sons and my entire family because I've caused so much hurt in so many ways, emotionally, physically and financially."

Wright is accused of bringing in more than $150,000 from prostitution over an 18-month period, and is due to stand trial in May. She faces 106 counts, including prostitution, privacy violations, welfare fraud and tax offenses.

The case drew wide attention for its massive scope and high number of clients, some of whom were prominent figures.
