Android 6.0 Marshmallow Release Update for HTC One E9, One E8, One E9+, One ME & Butterfly 3

By

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has been rolling out to HTC phones one by one, and a few more mid-range devices are still waiting on the block. These include HTC Butterfly 3, One ME, One E9, One E9+ and E8 phones.

HTC is apparently on top of its game when it comes to Android 6.0 updates, as it was able to release updates to two phones already across carriers around the world. Exciting updates are happening up next in the coming weeks and months for HTC Butterfly 3, One ME, One E9, One E9+ and E8.

These devices will get the much-anticipated Sense 7.0 user interface (UI), plus improvements on it. As revealed last year, HTC will be releasing Marshmallow to its mid-range phones in the second quarter of 2016 and the latter part of the first quarter, so that is around March to June. These months seem to be too far but HTC could also be releasing the updates sooner than that.

Sense 7.0 gets a flatter and simpler design, new icons, new themes app, new notification panel, updated system apps, improved home screen, new widgets, more effective battery management, better settings menu, new app permissions control, new lock screen, plus several other improvements and bug fixes.

HTC One ME

One ME will get Sense 7.0 UI. It will bring the device an almost similar look to One A9's interface.

HTC Butterfly 3

Like One ME, Butterfly 3 will also get Sense 7.0 UI and they will both get the same perks and privileges brought the interface.

HTC One E9

One E9 is reportedly skipping Android 5.1 Lollipop for Marshmallow which is expected in the first quarter of 2016.

HTC One E9+

The bigger version of One E9, One E9+ already runs on Sense 7.0 UI. It also is reportedly skipping Android 5.1 Lollipop update to pave the way for Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

HTC One E8

One E8 debuted with Sense 7.0 out of the box. The phone is still lucky enough to receive the Marshmallow update in the first quarter of 2016.
