HTC One M8 Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update on T-Mobile Out Tomorrow

By

HTC is slated to release tomorrow the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to T-Mobile units of One M8 as confirmed last week. Mo Versi said the upgrade will come on the 25th of this month along with major surprises

HTC One M8 owners under T-Mobile are now exuding with joy, as tomorrow was confirmed by Mo Versi for these devices to get the official over-the-air (OTA) release for Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The January 25 target date announced by HTC's senior vice president for product management came after his revelation of the upgrade date of Sprint for the device.

Versi took Twitter last week to respond to a fan asking about the update of T-Mobile to One M8. The fan tweeted: ""@moversi Any update on the T-Mobile M8?" The executive responded: "@cameron29016996 We're in the lab. should be soon - our target is 1/25."

Although the date was announced to be a target only, many are hoping that the update would really come by then. However, if the update delays, it should only be a few days later.

Meanwhile, Android 6.0 Marshmallow brings in improvements for the Sense 7.0 user interface on top of its native features like Doze, app standby, better controls, fingerprint support and Now on Tap.

Doze is a power-saving feature. It works by putting the phone into a sleep state when sensed idle to control power consumption. By the use of some motion sensors, the device will detect itself if it is not in use. With app standby, the device trims down the effect of seldom used apps to the phone's battery.

Device will also have better controls as they were made simpler. One of them is related to app permissions. With Marshmallow, users accessing something in an app will be asked for permissions to allow or deny an action at the point of use and not at the installation. It can also be turned off any time.

The fingerprint support expands the using power of the phone user to greater extent as it improves security. Log on to the device and purchase goods and services online using fingerprint.

Lastly, Now on Tap givers more accurate recommendations relevant to the user.
