Project Tango to debut in summer with Quad HD display, Intel Atom x7-Z8700 processor, and more

Google has announced in Consumer Electronics Show that it is preparing Project Tango as the company's new phone project. The firm is known to have been readying for months which was first previewed at the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) in August. According to the published reports, the project seems to introduce high-end features like Quad HD display and Intel Atom x7-Z8700 processor.

Latin Post mentioned that Project Tango comes with two cameras. First, its rear camera offers Intel Real Sense 3D and 18 megapixels, while its front camera is 2 megapixels. Further, the new smartphone is 6 inches large with Quad HD display and a resolution of the screen of 2, 560 x 1, 440 pixels. Thereby, the new device can provide 3D images and maps clearly.

Project Tango is supported by Google's Android operating system, however, related report mentioned that the new smartphone's processor comes uniquely than most Android phones. In addition, the new device introduces Intel Atom x7-Z8700 processor, in which most netbook computers use it.

More so, Tech Radar noted that the new Android-powered phone costs $399 (£273, AU$570) on web store as Intel launched the device's pre-order campaign. In terms of its release date, Indiana Express stated that the company is planning to launch the new flagship by summer of 2016.

Behind the creation of the new smartphone, Johnny Lee, Project Tango Lead, Google said in the related report, "With Project Tango, the smartphone becomes a magic window into the physical world by enabling it to perceive space and motion that goes beyond the boundaries of a touch screen." He added that the accessibility to users and developers has been made possible through its partnership with Lenovo. This is through a new experience that blends with the virtual and real world. Nevertheless, the firm did not yet provide any details about the exact release date of the Project Tango.
