By

Samsung Mobile has been late in rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow to its devices compared to other device manufacturers that have started to slowly release the update. However, a new report said that Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone owners can now get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software through signing up for beta test.

Samsung Galaxy S6 is the lucky model to be tested for Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and anyone is given the chance to experience it just by signing up. According to a recent report from Gotta Be Mobile, Android 6.0 Marshmallow will make a first public appearance to Galaxy S6 among Samsung's devices.

Google first released Marshmallow in October 2015 and Samsung has revealed its plans for the new build right after. It took three months after to release the upgrade due to development issues.

There has been no clear reports, however, whether the South Korean brand will be rolling out the Android 6.0 or the first update of Marshmallow which is 6.0.1.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will bring security patches and an updated set of emojis on top of Marshmallow's maintays.

Meanwhile, the beta program is also available to Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones exclusively in countries of United Kingdom and South Korea. The beta program is fashioned to test software for bugs and problems before the official big public release.

Samsung has not spoken until now where and when the first official release will happen. In the United States, however, security updates have started to be rolled out which were deemed in preparation for the Marshmallow.

T-Mobile's versions are currently under the manufacturer development stage for Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow will bring in key features Doze, overhauled app drawer, more user-friendly controls, smarter app permissions, Now on Tap for Google Now, direct share, support for Android Pay, fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C, and more.
