Hinder's former frontman, Austin Winkler has recently filed for divorce a day before New Year. The singer is officially ending his marriage with Jami Miller who he has been together with for more than seven years.
According to a report by TMZ, the former Hinder vocalist filed for divorce on December 30, 2015 at the Los Angeles Superior Court. Winkler went in alone, and was not represented by a lawyer. In his file, Winkler stated that they have no community property to divide, which as speculated by many could be due to their prenuptial agreement which wasn't indicated.
He also added that there will be no need for a spousal support as they have been separated since July 2014. Austin and Jami Winkler got married in 2008 even before the band released their biggest hits and has been together for seven and a half years.
Winkler was Hinder's original frontman before he left in 2013, according to the Hollywood Reporter. However, the band still continued even after his departure. "We hold no animosity towards Austin, and wish him the best," Cody Hanson said in their previous interview.
"Although it was a difficult decision, it was the best thing for everyone involved and time for us to move on. This summer/fall tour was a tough one. We want to thank the fans for all their overwhelming support.", he added.
However, in the previous couple of years, Winkler has been trying to fight against his drug addiction and has been in and out of rehabilitation. As reported by Live Starring You, Winkler also previously shared about his rehabilitation.
"It was definitely tough. You know, I found myself in rehab actually. It's hard. It's hard to not be...I can't be fake. We write all about real things that have happened, real feelings, and experiences. It's something that I can't fake", he said.
The grounds for the split up are still not confirmed but more about Austin Austin and Jami Miller's divorce are expected to be unveiled in the upcoming weeks.
