'Chicago Fire' Season 4 Spoilers: 3-way crossover airs Jan. 5th; Part 1 official synopsis released

EP Matt Olmstead shared how they enjoy creating crossovers. That said, the 1st part of the three-way crossover of "Chicago Fire" Season 4 has been noted. Plus, NBC released a teaser photo from the upcoming episode.

Executive producer Matt Olmstead sat with Entertainment Weekly and admitted how the production team enjoyed doing the crossover episodes. Olmstead further explained that the upcoming three-part special event will feature the side of Jason Beghe Voight that fans have not seen yet before. 

As for the official plot synopsis for the first part of the three-way crossover, Carter Matt notes, "members of Firehouse 51 band together and anxiously await word at Chicago Med when one of their own falls victim to a life-threatening stabbing. Cruz (Joe Minoso) urgently works with members of Chicago P.D. to track down Freddie's (Ralph Rodriguez) whereabouts when he goes missing. Dr. Choi (guest star Brian Tee) and Dr. Halstead (guest star Nick Gehlfuss) tend to an attempted suicide victim whose condition raises some eyebrows.

Meanwhile, Mouch (Christian Stolte) surprises Trudy (guest star Amy Morton) and Chili's (Dora Madison) odd behavior has Brett (Kara Killmer) and Jimmy (Steven R. McQueen) worried."

Moreover, Christian Post has reported that NBC recently leaked a teaser photo from the January 5 episode of "Chicago Fire" Season 4. The photo showed Hermann (David Eigenberg) lying on his hospital bed wired to an IV, oxygen and monitor.

"Chicago Fire" Season 4 Episode 10 is entitled as "The Beating Heart". The next episode is slated to return on Tuesday, January 5, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. The upcoming episode will feature a three-way crossover which begins with "Chicago Med" at 10:00 p.m.

The three-part event will conclude on Chicago P.D. which will air on Wednesday, January 6, 2015 at 10:00 p.m.exclusively on NBC. "Chicago Fire" is an American TV drama series created by Michael Brandt and David Haas and executively produced by Dick Wolf.
