George Washington Bridge Scandal was a big issue two years ago and the court is currently on the process in seeking legal actions towards the scandal. However, it seems like another issue is rising out of the George Washington Bridge Scandal. The defense attorneys of the individuals who are being accused to be part of the scandal complain that their clients are treated unfairly in the court.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the federal prosecutors, as suspected by the defense lawyers of the accused individuals, are not doing their part in collecting evidences and files from the office of New Jersey's Governor Chris Christie. The defense lawyers believe that what is being withheld can put their client in the favorable light.
Furthermore, in the report of North Jersey, the defense lawyers blame the federal prosecutors for not entirely exposing the evidences from the legal case. It is said that the allegedly stolen computer hard drive by a third party has undergone a forensic analysis but the federal prosecutors did not disclose this. By doing such actions, it will be quite impossible for the accused individuals to have a fair fight in the court.
Based also on The Wall Street Journal, the legal documents, passed by the defense attorneys, state that they would like to have the trial outside New Jersey. With these circumstances that emerged in the case, it seems like the federal prosecutors do not want to cooperate in this legal case.
On the other hand, with such issue attached to Governor Christie, Donald Trump seems to take advantage of it. According to Philly, Trump is being critical now with Governor Christie because the New Jersey's governor is topping the poll. Trump have put under scrutiny the economy of New Jersey, high taxes and the downgrade of the state and also the George Washington Bridge Scandal. He is saying with all the issues that is behind Governor Christie, the governor cannot probably win. With what Trump has said, will the campaign of Governor Christie be affected?
George Washington Bridge Scandal is a big issue in 2013 as it caused a traffic when some lanes have been closed without prior notice to the public. Individuals who are involved in the scandal are being charged. However, as the legal actions are taking place, it appears that the federal prosecutors are not divulging all necessary files and documents regarding the case.
