David Spade and PETA slam Barack and Michelle Obama's Running Wild show

By

The Saturday Night Love comedian, David Spade, has blasted US president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama for their appearances on TV shows. The famous comedian let loose on the presedential couple, hinting they were planning for a career after leaving the White House.

Barack and Michelle Obama were featured in Bear Grylls's Running Wild episode and the former 8 Simple Rules star is obviously not pleased with such entertainment. He criticized the couple for appearing to "thirsty" and went as far as calling the two, "without dignity".

According to Gossip Cop, David Spade has vociferously expressed his disapproval of the president's appearance on the NBC outdoor adventure show. On December 14, David Spade tweeted, ""Why is Obama on Bear Grills trying to survive in the tundra? Isnt the idea to keep the prez alive? And why is he on a reality show? Wtf?"

In a new video of the Running Wild show, which was shown on December 17, Spade bashed again Obama. When he was asked by a videographer about it, he answered, "What president is doing reality shows?" adding that it's "weird." He goes on to say that he thought a president should have a little more dignity than that. The comedian even criticized Obama's appearance on GQ's 'Men of the Year' cover. The magazine was published last November. Spade said that the president should leave that kind of activity to Bradley Cooper.

Also, the actor spoke to TMZ and said he criticised Obama because he thought a president should have a little more dignity. He added, that he realised Woodrow Wilson went on Dancing with the Stars once, but what president goes reality shows?

The First Lady was not exempted in Spades' rant. He went on saying that she is equally too interested in fame. "Michelle Obama is on 'Ellen' more than I am," cracks Spade, who feels their appearances are "a bit thirsty for me."

The comedian isn't the only individual who expressed criticism with Obama being on the "Running Wild" show. PETA was also concerned about Obama's act of eating salmon together with Bear Grylls. PETA president Ingrid E. Newark told Gossip Cop that they are fine with Mr. Obama eating road kill or a piece of fish rejected by a bear, however the big problem they have with the 44th president of the United States, is its appearance on a cheap reality show whose host bullied contestants into cruelly cutting a conscious baby pig's throat with a knife.

Tell us what you think about President Obama appearing on a reality show? Will you watch the next episodes of "Running Wild"?
