Sony Xperia Z6 to be released early or mid-2016 with five variants

Sony has released the Xperia Z5 family with three amazing handsets this year. Now, the company is expected to unveil another series on early or mid-2016. The Sony Xperia Z6 is believed to have five variants with different capabilities.

According to Latinos Post, Sony Xperia Z6 could be the smartphone that every enthusiasts has been waiting for. Sony is said to be cutting its traditional Omnibalance design and replace it with a new high-end look and feel.

For years now, the Sony Xperia designs were hardly amusing with several critics calling their Omnibalance form factors bland and boxy. It was reported that the smartphone's reception worldwide hadn't been warm, therefore, it's an indication that the company needs a change at least when it comes to aesthetics.

Now, the Sony Xperia Z6 is expected to delight with a more curvaceous and metallic frame.

Neurogadget cited some of the possible features that the Sony Xperi Z6 might have. Sony might release Xperia Z6 flagship with a screen with a diagonal of 5.6-inch. This model will be smaller than the Xperia Z6 Plus which is sized at 5.8-inch, and the Xperia Z6 Ultra that has a huge screen of 6.4-inch. The smaller versions will be the Xperia Z6 Compact that will measure 4.6 inches and the Xperia Z6 Mini, the smallest model from the family, sized at 4 inches.

The Mini version will come with a Snapdragon 620 processor while the rest of the variants will feature the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Additionally, the Xperia Z6 and Xperia Z6 Plus will have in common a pressure sensitive touch display. With the incorporation of this technology, Sony follows in the steps of Apple, who launched its very own on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

As for the handset's release, Crossmap stated on its article that the Sony Xperia Z6's debut seems so very unclear and diverse. It was initially reported that Sony is planning to release the Z6 on early 2016. There are other claims, however, stating that it is very possible also  for the Xperia Z6 to be publicized before the CES (Consumer Technology Association) event, scheduled on January 6, 2016. Separate reports also claim a release during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, planned on February 22, 2016.

It is not yet clear when the exact release date of the Sony Xperia Z6 handsets will happen but it is most likely to land early to mid-2016. As its speculated debut nears, more details about the devices are expected to surface soon.
