The 64th Emmy Awards aired on Sunday night on 23 September on ABC. The Show was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and did not disappoint with stars showing up in the latest fashion couture from Julian Moore's yellow Christian Dior gown to Heidi Klum's high-slitted ice blue chiffon Alexandre Vauthier.

As expected ABC's hit-comedy "Modern Family" took home the award for the Best Comedy. The show's Eric Stonestreen won Best Supporting Actor in a comedy and Julie Bowen won Best Supporting Actress in comedy. The director of the show, Steve Levitan, took home award for best Comedy Director.

Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" won the award for the 12th year in a row for Best Variety Series.

The HBO miniseries "Game Change" won a plethora of awards in the Miniseries or TV movie categories: Tom Hanks and Steven Shareshian took the award for Best Producers, Actress Julian Moore won for Best Actress in the category, Danny Strong won one for his writing and Jay Roach won for Best Director. Kevin Costner won Best Actor in a miniseries or TV movie for "Hatfeilds & McCoys."

Martha Plimption won Best Guest Actress for "The Goodwife" and Jeremy Davis won Best Guest Actor for "Justified."

ABC's hit reality show "Dancing With the Stars" Tom Bergeron took home the trophy for Best Host.

Louis C.K. won two awards, one for Outstanding writing for "Louie" and another for Best Writer in a variety, music, or comedy special for "Live at the Beacon Theater."

The big awards for Best Actor and Actress in drama series went to Damian Lewis and Claire Danes both for "Homeland."

But the night's star winner was probably actor Michael J. Fox, who presented the award for Best Drama Show, but instead received a standing ovation from the audience. Fox, 51, has been battling Parkinson 's disease since 1991 and has started the Michale J. Fox Foundation.
